Project Overview

Yunigchhu Hydropower Project is a  run-of-river scheme in the scenic Ungaar Village, Lhuntse, Bhutan. With a capacity of 32 MW, the project is designed to complement Bhutan's existing hydropower infrastructure while preserving the region's unique cultural and environmental heritage.

NexGen Hydro Consult provided design consultancy for the project's civil works and , ensuring seamless integration with the surrounding landscape. The project was commissioned in 2026.
